Update Classes for the 2012 Series

  • 2wd Rookie* (Any 1/10th scale 2wd Truck, Buggy or SC# running a Brushed 27T Brushed RTR motor, or 17.5 BL Motor, No ESC Timing advance/Boost)

  • Sportsman Stock Buggy** (17.5 BL Motor No ESC timing advance/Boost) 

  • Sportsman Stock Truck** (17.5 BL Motor No ESC timing advance/Boost) 

  • Expert Stock Buggy (17.5 BL Motor unlimited ESC)

  • Open 2wd Buggy (Any Motor, Unlimited ESC)

  • Open Truck (Any Motor, Unlimited ESC)

  • Open 4WD Buggy (Any Motor, Unlimited ESC)

  • Sportsman Stock Short Course**# (17.5 BL Motor, No ESC Timing advance/Boost)

  • Expert Stock Short Course# (17.5 BL Motor unlimited ESC) 

  • Pro-2 Short Course# (Any Motor, Unlimited ESC)

  • Sportsman 4wd Short Course**# (Any Motor, Unlimited ESC)

Optional "write in" classes for the 2012.  Minimum of 8 cars required to field a class per event. Minimum of 5 event races required for counting towards final points for end of year awards.

  • 1/8th Scale Electric (Any motor and battery will be allowed)

  • Pro Short Course Buggy#  (17.5 BL Motor No ESC timing advance/Boost)

          * No sponsored drivers allowed at all in Rookie 

         **No chassis sponsored drivers allowed in Sportsman Classes.

  • ONLY ROAR APPROVED MOTORS AND BATTERIES WILL BE ALLOWED IN ALL CLASSES 10th SCALE CLASSES. (Electric 8th is open motor and battery)

  • Although this is NOT a ROAR series, certain ROAR rules may be enforced at the discrection of the JBRL race director & tech crew.

  • All Lipo battery voltage will be checked to be within ROAR rules.

  • 6 Cell NiCd/NiMh or 2S lipo only for all 10th scale classes.

  • Awards for top 3 in the "A" mains at each event

  • Awards for top 10 at end of series (Only top 5 will receive points fund money payout)

  • Two qualifiers and single mains at each event

  • Best 5 races count, 3 throw outs

  • 1 car bump up format

  • All 10th scale "A" mains are 6 min races.  All lower mains and quals will be 5 min.

  • Electric 8th scale "A" mains are 10min of run. All lower mains and quals will be 5 min.

  • Racers must attend 5 of 8 events to be eligible for end of series awards

  • Top 3 finishers in Rookie Stock must move up to next higher class.

  • Winners of sportsman classes at the end of the series must move up to next higher class, 2nd and 3rd can also get moved up at the race directors discretion.

  • $30 1st entry, each additional entry $20

  • No pre entries, sign ups the morning of at the track

  • Practice from 6am to 8 am. Racing begins @9am.

The JBRL awards you points for how well you finish in each race.  Points are awarded as follows:

  • 1 st place = 100 points 

  • 2 nd place = 99 points

  • 3 rd place = 98 points etc.

  • 1 bonus point for top qualifying

  • 1 bonus point for each race attended

  • First tie breaker will be your first throwout

  • Second tie breaker will be you second throwout

  • Third tie breaker will be your third throwout.

  • Fourth tie breaker will be who won the most in "A" main victories

The racer with the most points in each class, when counting the best 5 out of 8 results, at the end of the season will be crowned the 2012 JBRL champion.  Will it be you?
